Alar Ecology Limited (AEL) was established in 2014 to provide a comprehensive range of ecological consultancy and arboricultural services to the private and public sectors. As a small company, Alar Ecology is able to offer a personalised service at competitive rates. Strategic partnerships with other companies and access to a number of trusted associates and subconsultants enables larger and/or more specialist projects to be undertaken.

Alar Ecology adopts an ethical approach in all aspects of its business and seeks to deliver environmental gain in its project work. Survey and assessment methods adopted by Alar Ecology comply with the best professional and technical guidance available, as prescribed by the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and in British Standard (BS) 42020 Biodiversity – a code of practice for planning and development.

Lyndon left his position as a Principal Ecologist at a leading consultancy to set up Alar Ecology Ltd in 2014. A Chartered Environmentalist and qualified arboriculturist, he has 18 years’ experience as an ecological consultant. He possesses specialist skills as an ornithologist, developed over a period of 35+ years of fieldwork. He has a track record of providing expert ecological advice in support of a range of projects in the UK and overseas, from small-scale residential developments to large renewable energy schemes.
